Delegation from FSUE “Rosmorport” visits the Far Eastern Maritime Training Center
During his working trip to the 10th Eastern Economic Forum, Sergey Pylin, General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport”, visited the Far Eastern Maritime Training Center at Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy on September 5. Also, the day before, he participated in a meeting of the Council of Participants in Shipping on the Northern Sea Route.
At the Far Eastern Maritime Training Center, Sergey Pylin inspected the navigation bridge with a 360-degree panoramic view, cargo ballast operation simulators, and a pool complex for emergency rescue operations at sea.
Every year, more than 10,000 future sailors and current industry professionals undergo training and professional development here, with over 170 training programs available.
During the visit, the general director discussed with the university's rector, Denis Burov, the prospects for transitioning to remote control of underwater and surface vehicles that perform bottom surveys, inspect hydraulic structures, and underwater parts.
They agreed to exchange valuable experience that will be useful in developing and implementing new solutions both in the training process at the training center and on the vessels of FSUE “Rosmorport”.
On September 4, a meeting of the Council of Participants in Shipping on the Northern Sea Route was held in Vladivostok. Among the participants, there is FSUE “Rosmorport” alongside with the Russian Ministry of Transport, Rosatom State Corporation, FSBI “GlavSevmorput”, and the governments of the Arctic regions.
At the meeting, the participants discussed the development strategy for the Northern Sea Route until 2050, in particular investments in infrastructure, the implementation of northern delivery, and key elements of the NSR digital ecosystem: a unified digital services platform and an unmanned aerial system.
The FSUE “Rosmorport” delegation also learned about shipbuilding and ship repair facilities and capacities in Primorye Region, including the Eastern Shipyard, one of the country's key industry enterprises.
FSUE “Rosmorport” signed two agreements on the sidelines of the forum. The first one formalized agreements between the enterprise, the governments of Primorsky Krai, Sakhalin Region, and Kamchatka Krai, the Ministry of Development of the Russian Far East, “KS-Strateguicheskiy Alliance” JSC, and “Sovkomflot” PJSC on the joint creation of cruise lines in the Far East.
The second document confirmed the plans of FSUE “Rosmorport” and Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy to work together to improve education in the field of maritime and river transport and to train qualified personnel for industry enterprises.
