FSUE “Rosmorport” presents photo exhibition on the development of Far Eastern seaports at the Eastern Economic Forum 2025

The photo exhibition “Rosmorport: Focus on the Far East” is open at the 10th Eastern Economic Forum, held in Vladivostok from September 3 to 6. The exhibition features 11 images illustrating the enterprise’s contribution to the development of the country’s largest seaports, including those located on the Pacific coast.

The photographs highlight the fleet and key services provided by FSUE “Rosmorport” in Russian harbors. Several images are dedicated to the enterprise’s icebreakers, which ensure year-round access to 16 non-freezing seaports across Russia.

In the Far East specifically, icebreakers operate in the Sea of Okhotsk, serving the water areas of the seaports of Magadan and Vanino. From November to June, they escort around 200 vessels in total, through ice with an average thickness of 1.5 meters.

The exhibition also draws attention to the current economic performance of Far Eastern ports and their upcoming modernization under the federal project “Development of the Core Network of Seaports.”

Additionally, visitors can see a photograph of the General Chernyakhovsky ferry, one of the two innovative eco-ferries of FSUE “Rosmorport”, operating since 2022 on the strategic route Seaport of Ust-Luga – Seaport of Kaliningrad.

Successful experience of FSUE “Rosmorport” in establishing maritime transport links with the Kaliningrad Region is set to be applied to the reconstruction of the shore-based infrastructure of the Vanino – Kholmsk ferry line, which will enhance passenger and cargo accessibility to Sakhalin Island.

Other images showcase the Nadezhda sailing training vessel — a maritime symbol of Vladivostok, a vessel traffic system operator at work, and the Petr Sablin dredger, capable of extracting up to 1.5 million cubic meters of soil per season.

The exhibition is located at the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University, in the corridor connecting buildings A and C, and will run until September 6.
