Dear colleagues, dear veterans of the industry!

On behalf of the entire staff of FSUE "Rosmorport" and on my own behalf, I congratulate you on the Maritime and River Fleet Workers Day!

Since ancient times, river and then sea routes have been of key importance in the development of Russia. Our ancestors developed vast territories, traveling from the Baltic to the Black Sea and the Caspian, and then joining the Arctic, Siberia and the Far East. As the country grew, cities were built on the banks of seas and rivers, and their history often began with ports.

Despite the fact that trains, cars and airplanes have appeared since then, water transport still plays a leading role in our country's economy. About 120,000 vessels enter Russian ports every year. The capacity of sea harbors is constantly growing, exceeding 1.4 billion tons by the end of 2024.

This is the merit of all employees of the Russian fleet: sailors, engineers, mechanics, technicians, builders. Here I cannot fail to mention the staff of FSUE "Rosmorport", without whom it would be impossible to realize the large-scale port renewal that has been taking place in recent decades. 

I would like to thank veterans for their labor. Your loyalty to the shipping business, courage and the highest professionalism remain the best example for the younger generation. In the years when our country is facing a serious external challenge and consolidation of all forces is required, your word and wise advice are more important than ever!

On this important day for all maritime and river fleet workers, I wish you good health, endless optimism and fulfillment of all plans for the benefit of our Fatherland! A fair wind on the voyage! And FSUE "Rosmorport" will take care of meeting you in your home harbors. Happy Holiday!
