FSUE "Rosmorport" put unified GMDSS control center in the seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky into trial operation on domestic software

FSUE "Rosmorport" has successfully completed work on the creation of a unified GMDSS control center for A1 and A2 sea areas and NAVTEX service in the seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky using Russian software and launched it in the trial operation mode. As of today, this is the easternmost unified control center for GMDSS systems in Russia operating entirely on Russian software.

In order to ensure uninterrupted operation of the center, NAVI GMDSS 4000 radio communication control system and "Octopus" process equipment monitoring system were installed. NAVTEX workstations are equipped with the TAMGA NAVTEX software system. All software products are included in the unified register of Russian programs for electronic computers and databases and operate under the Astra Linux operating system.

TRANSAS NavX cartographic system is used to display navigation situation, which provides real-time display of vessel position and movement parameters using electronic charts.

As part of the creation of a single GMDSS control center, the coast station Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky of the GMDSS sea area A1 was reconstructed and two new base stations of the sea area A1 were put into operation. Integration of the existing receivers and transmitters of the coast station Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky of GMDSS sea area A2 and the coast station Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky of the NAVTEX service into the new system was realized.

The enterprise established compliance of the new software with the requirements of the Russian Ministry of Transportation. The work was carried out in fulfillment of the Decree of the President of Russia on ensuring technological independence and security of the critical information infrastructure of the Russian Federation.

The GMDSS single control center ensures stable communication with ships in sea areas A1 and A2, carries out continuous radio watch and radio exchange with ships in VHF and MF/HF bands, automatically processes distress calls received from vessels in the specified sea areas and participates in the operative organization of search and rescue operations. Using the NAVTEX service, navigation and meteorological information on safety of navigation and search and rescue messages are transmitted to mariners within its coverage area.
