Nikolay Patrushev, Assistant to the President of Russia and Chairman of the Maritime Board of the Russian Federation, inspected the international sea terminal under construction near Pionersky in the seaport of Kaliningrad together with Alexey Besprozvannykh, Governor of the Kaliningrad Region, on May 28.

From the side of FSUE "Rosmorport" the work meeting was attended by Igor Shevchuk, Executive Director of FSUE "Rosmorport" and Andrey Moshkov, Deputy Director of the North-Western Basin Branch of the enterprise - Head of Kaliningrad Department.

Nikolay Patrushev inspected the terminal infrastructure, including the future station building, which is being constructed at the expense of FSUE "Rosmorport". The enterprise also acts as a customer for the construction of a radio relay mast, storm water drainage, transportation security equipment systems and development of working documentation for these facilities.

The customer for the construction of hydraulic structures, onshore buildings and structures, engineering networks and systems, creation of artificial land plots No. 1 and No. 2 under the project is FSI "Rostransmodernizatsiya".

In the future, the terminal will become one of the largest sea complexes in the North-Western Federal District. Upon completion of all construction works, it will be able to accommodate more than 100 cargo-passenger and cruise vessels per season. Throughput capacity of the terminal will be up to 225 thousand passengers and up to 80 thousand units of rolling equipment per year. Safe maneuvering and approach to the berths will be ensured due to dredging works.

For the first time the marine terminal received a cargo-passenger vessel in August last year after berth No. 1 was put into operation. The ferry "Antey" arrived in Pionersky, which from December 2024 started regular voyages to the international sea terminal near Pionersky of the seaport of Kaliningrad.

Earlier, Assistant to the President of Russia visited the seaport of Ust-Luga. He inspected its key facilities, including the automobile and railway ferry complex of FSUE "Rosmorport", and held a meeting on the navigation safety on the Baltic Sea.
