FSUE "Rosmorport" took part in the activities to organize the lifting of a floating dock that sank in Murmansk

Sergey Pylin, General Director of FSUE "Rosmorport", and Sergey Bazarny, Deputy General Director, paid a working visit to the Murmansk Region. The key topic of the trip was the organization of work to lift the floating dock in Murmansk.

As part of the visit, a meeting on this issue was held in the building of the Murmansk Region Government under the chairmanship of Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation. The meeting was also attended by Alexander Kozlov, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, Alexander Poshivay, Deputy Minister of Transportation of the Russian Federation, Svetlana Radionova, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Management, and Andrey Chibis, Governor of the Murmansk Region.

In his report Alexander Poshivay noted that in pursuance of the order of the President of the Russian Federation dated April 17, 2025 regarding the need to modernize the port infrastructure to ensure the operation of the Northern Sea Route, the Ministry of Transport of Russia has developed an action plan for the lifting of the sunken floating dock. According to the "road map" FSUE "Rosmorport" was determined as the executor of works on preparation of ship-lifting documentation and execution of dock removal works. The meeting emphasized that the upcoming operation could be unprecedented. As Dmitry Patrushev noted, objects of this size have not been utilized in Russia before.

It is planned to appoint "Lenmorniiproekt", JSC (an enterprise with participation of FSUE "Rosmorport") as the executor of the design works, which has already held a number of meetings with the expert group and is ready to submit proposals on dock lifting.

Financing of ship-lifting documentation development and floating dock removal works is supposed to be carried out from the reserve fund of the Government of the Russian Federation.

During the working visit, the site of the floating dock sinking was also inspected.

According to information sent by "NK "Rosneft", PJSC to the Government of the Russian Federation, the sunken dock currently prevents the creation of modern infrastructure for receiving, storing and shipping cargo as part of the Northern Sea Route development.
