FSUE “Rosmorport”, together with Novotrans Aktiv LLC, has completed dredging operations in the operational water areas of berths No. 1 and No. 2 of the investment project for the construction of the Ust-Luga universal trading terminal in the seaport of Ust-Luga.

The project is being implemented as part of the transport section of the Comprehensive Plan for the Modernization and Expansion of the Main Infrastructure for the period up to 2024 within the federal project “Development of Seaports”. Dredging was carried out by Novotrans Aktiv LLC under a contract, and FSUE “Rosmorport” was the customer for the construction of the water area.

According to the results of the work performed, a design seabed level of 17.5 m was provided for the approach of design vessels for the transportation of bulk cargo of SN-120 type with a length of 260 m, a width of 43 m, a draught of 15 m and a deadweight of 120 thousand tons.

The Ust-Luga universal trading terminal is a large-scale investment project of the Novotrans Group of Companies. The project provides for the creation of complexes for processing a wide range of bulk and general, as well as grain and food cargoes with a total volume of 24.26 million tons per year. The terminal provides the possibility of receiving up to 1,100 wagons per day from the Luzhskaya-General junction station.

This year, the construction of the railway infrastructure was fully completed, two additional berths were commissioned, the concreting of the coastline was completed. The total length of the berthing front is 1,800 m.

The construction is carried out in accordance with the strategic documents for the development of Russia's transport infrastructure. The investment project is also included in the new federal project “Development of a backbone network of seaports” of the national project “Efficient Transport System”.
