FGUP "Rosmorport" and China Communications Construction Company Limited signed a state contract on August 18, 2021 for the development of design documentation and the execution of works on the construction of the facility "Construction of a marine transshipment complex of liquefied natural gas in the Kamchatka region". The project is a part of the Comprehensive plan for the modernization and expansion of trunk infrastructure until 2024.

Within the contract China Communications Construction Company Limited will execute the work on the construction of an approach channel and facilities that ensure navigation safety. The contract value is 19.6 billion rubles.

PAO "NOVATEK" and FSUE "Rosmorport" are the main investment participants in the project to create the marine transshipment complex of liquefied natural gas in the Kamchatka region (in terms of federal property). The design capacity is 21.7 million tons of LNG per year. The amount of dredging work will be 16.2 million cubic meters of soil.
