Sailing boat Khersones takes part in the VIII Big Sevastopol Officer Ball
The FSUE "Rosmorport" sailing training vessel Khersones took part in the VIII Big Sevastopol Officer Ball "Symphony of the Future", which took place on Mikhailovskaya Coastal Battery Square.
The sailing training vessel Khersones with set scarlet sails traditionally met guests on the raid of Sevastopol Bay.
This year, the ball is dedicated to two jubilees at once – the 325th anniversary of the Russian Navy and the 115th anniversary of the birth of the great composer Dmitry Shostakovich.
The event was attended by 1000 people, including more than 300 officer and civilian couples from all over Russia. The ball was held in compliance with all measures to counter coronavirus infection.

The Big Sevastopol Officer Ball was organized by the city community "Sevastopol Noble Assembly" in association with the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation and the support of the Government of Sevastopol. The ball is held annually due to the unification of efforts and resources of its organizers, participants, citizens, philanthropists, representatives of business and state structures. For the first time the ball was held on June 2, 2013.
