The XV international exhibition and conference on civil shipbuilding, navigation, the activities of ports, the ocean and shelf exploration “NEVA-2019” was held in Saint Petersburg on September 17-20, 2019.

The conference focused on shipbuilding and ensuring navigation safety and it involved FSUE “Rosmorport” Deputy General Director for Fleet Vasily Strugov, chief of the department for the fleet development and construction Vladimir Shtrambrand, director of the North-Western Basin Branch Sergey Pylin and director of the Murmansk Branch Sergey Mazhirin.

The exposition of the Onego Shipyard clearly demonstrates the scientific and productive potential of the yard that was reconstructed due to the efforts taken by FSUE “Rosmorport”. Director of the Onego Shipyard JSC Vladimir Maizus spoke about the works aimed at modernizing the enterprise and presented projects of vessels run off shipbuilding ways and being on the docket.

Viktor Glukhovshchenko, general director of Black Sea Cruises LLC founded by FSUE “Rosmorport”, took part in a panel discussion “The Development of Cruise Navigation in Russia”. In his speech he spoke about the sole cruise liner on the Black Sea coast – the Knyaz Vladimir, which became more and more popular among our fellow countrymen and foreign guests. The participants discussed problems and growth areas of cruise service in the Black Sea region and in Russia as a whole.
