The FAI “Glavgosexpertiza of Russia” gave an approval to a project of FSUE “Rosmorport” “The Reconstruction of Coastal Structures of Vanino-Kholmsk Motor-Railroad Ferry Service” in the seaport of Kholmsk on October 25, 2019. The State Expertise confirmed the conformity of project documentation to the results of engineering surveys, the requirements of technical regulations and other characteristics and also approved the estimate value of the facility.

The major goal of the reconstruction is to increase cargo turnover and make mooring of ferries of the new projects possible in the seaport of Kholmsk. The implementation of the project financed at the expense of the federal budget has become possible under the Comprehensive plan for modernizing and expanding the trunk infrastructure.

At present, FSUE “Rosmorport” starts forming up approvals and preparing competitive procedures to choose a contracting organization for construction and installation operations. The reconstruction of the ferry complex in the seaport of Kholmsk is scheduled for 2020.
