The labor dynasty of Koltunovs makes its contribution to developing and popularizing maritime professions. The accumulated professional and life experience of the father and the son’s creative approach toward the labor help find many innovation solutions to control operation of software automatics and mechanics. It is used to optimize the control system of the linkspan. Particularly, the time has been considerably reduced for connecting and disconnecting the bridge and the ferry. Thus, the time has been reduced for the ferry handling that has also an impact on saving resources of mechanisms of the linkspan.
