Head of FSUE "Rosmorport" reports to Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Alexander Poshivai on the progress of construction of the international sea terminal for cruise and cargo-passenger vessels

Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Alexander Poshivai paid a working visit to the Kaliningrad region to familiarize himself with the construction of the international sea terminal for cruise and cargo-passenger vessels in Pionersky.

During the working trip, an off-site meeting was held under the leadership of Alexander Poshivai. During the meeting reports were heard from the heads of organizations participating in the construction of the international sea terminal: FSUE "Rosmorport", FSI "Rostransmodernization", FSBI "Marine Rescue Service" (Morspassluzhba) and GEOISOL LLC.

Sergey Pylin, General Director of FSUE "Rosmorport", reported on the implementation of the sea terminal construction project to the Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia.

At the moment, the construction of berth No. 2, protective structures, auxiliary buildings and structures located on the coastal part of the terminal is underway at the facility under the control of the FSBI "Rostransmodernization". At the same time, the construction of a passenger terminal building, a radio relay mast, storm sewers, and transport security equipment systems is underway at the expense of FSUE "Rosmorport".

Upon completion of construction and commissioning of the international sea terminal, it will receive passenger and cruise vessels. Its capacity when reaching the design capacity will be up to 225 thousand passengers and up to 80 thousand units of rolling equipment per year. The terminal is scheduled to be put into operation by the end of 2025.

In the final part of the meeting, the participants got acquainted with the work of the first launch complex of the international marine terminal as part of berth No. 1 for receiving ferries, an open storage area and a temporary road, the commissioning of which allowed the first technical approach of the cargo and passenger ferry "Antey" to be carried out on August 31, 2024.
