Photo exhibition on the activities of FSUE "Rosmorport" opens at the Eastern Economic Forum
FSUE “Rosmorport” traditionally presents its achievements in the format of a photo exhibition to the participants and guests of the IX Eastern Economic Forum. The exposition was opened on the campus territory of the Far Eastern Federal University, in the corridor-transition between buildings A and C. It will last until September 6.
At the exhibition FSUE “Rosmorport” presents strategically significant projects for the development of port infrastructure, including those being implemented in the Far East, as well as innovative vessels included in the country's largest service and auxiliary fleet of the enterprise - the total number is about 270 units. The icebreaker fleet alone consists of 34 vessels, and it is the largest in the world.
Four branches of the enterprise operate in the Far Eastern region: Far Eastern Basin and North-Eastern Basin, Sakhalin and Petropavlovsk Branches.
In order to ensure the safety of navigation, FSUE “Rosmorport” conducts actions on the development of port infrastructure in the Far East. In 2023, as part of the Comprehensive Plan for the Modernization and Expansion of the Main Infrastructure, the enterprise completed dredging works on the formation of the water area of the coal transport and transshipment complex in Muchke Bay, seaport of Vanino.
In 2024, the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky VTS was put into operation. The easternmost system in Russia which was built at the expense of FSUE “Rosmorport” in severe conditions of increased seismic activity zone. The facility, using modern domestic solutions, makes it possible to increase the level of safety of navigation, efficiency of navigation, protection of life at sea, protection of the marine environment and the coast.
FSUE “Rosmorport” plans to implement a number of measures in the Far Eastern Basin for the construction and reconstruction of port infrastructure facilities in the Khabarovsk Territory and the Sakhalin Region. Construction and installation works are being carried out at the seaport of Vanino to ensure uninterrupted ferry service at the crossing during the reconstruction of the coastal structures of the Vanino-Kholmsk automobile and railway ferry service. By order of FSUE “Rosmorport”, project documentation is being developed for the reconstruction of port infrastructure facilities at the Korsakov seaport.
As part of the ongoing work of FSUE “Rosmorport” to upgrade the port fleet for the Far East, a new bilge water removing ship was built, and two oil garbage collectors are under construction.
By 2035, the enterprise plans to build and acquire vessels for various purposes to replenish the Far Eastern port fleet: ice-class tugs, a linear icebreaker, oil garbage collectors, non-self-propelled self-opening hoppers and other vessels of the service and auxiliary fleet.
FSUE “Rosmorport” is also developing a project to modernize the icebreakers Kapitan Khlebnikov and Kapitan Dranitsyn for the Far Eastern Basin Branch.
