The navigation practice on the Nadezhda sailing training vessel of FSUE "Rosmorport" has started.

On September 2, the sailboat took on board 80 cadets studying in the specialty “Ship Navigation” at the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy. The cadets are accompanied by 4 practice supervisors.

During two months the cadets will study the structure of the sailing training vessel, its mechanisms and the basics of watchkeeping. They will also learn to locate the vessel by navigational landmarks and work on the deck and in the engine room, as well as take part in sailing drills and rigging work on the vessel.

The practice will last until October 26, 2024. The first training voyage of the sailing training vessel is scheduled for September after the end of the IX Eastern Economic Forum.

The largest business event in the Far East started on September 3. During the forum, the Nadezhda sailing training vessel will be moored in the center of Vladivostok and become a participant in the solemn program “Parade of Sails” – a great sporting event which is annually held within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum.
