On January 25, employees of FSUE “Rosmorport” took part in an action dedicated to the Day of Russian Students and talked with students of educational institutions where they studied themselves, as well as with students of partner universities of the enterprise.

Director of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Astrakhan Branch, Apandi Nurmagomedov, solemnly congratulated the students of the Caspian Institute of Sea and River Transport named after General Admiral Apraksin. He reminded the students of the holiday history and wished them success, professional growth, creative achievements and good health. In the solemn part of the event the director of the branch presented the diploma of laureate in the field of student scientific supervision to Alexey Khalyavkin, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Reader in Marine Engineering Disciplines.

The Voronin Arctic Maritime Institute, a branch of the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, was visited by employees of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Arkhangelsk Branch. The Voronin Arctic Maritime Institute is Russia's oldest higher education institution for training personnel for the maritime industry. On the Day of Russian Students, the university held a contest “Best group among 1st year study groups”. Vladimir Sedykh, Director of the Arkhangelsk Branch, and Vladimir Khokhlov, Deputy Director for Fleet of the branch, were members of the jury of the contest held to develop student self-government, promote healthy lifestyle, create conditions for the realization of the creative potential of students, and preserve the culture, traditions and customs of the peoples of Russia. Vladimir Sedykh addressed the students with a welcoming speech, congratulating them on the holiday and wishing them success in implementing their plans for the benefit of further prosperity and strengthening of the institute's position in the Russian educational system. At the end of the event, representatives of the Arkhangelsk Branch gave out prizes to the winners of the competition.

Sergey Komlev, Acting Deputy Director for Fleet of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Crimean Branch, and captain-instructor Valery Vasilyev congratulated the first-year cadets of the Maritime Institute named after Vice Admiral Kornilov – branch of the Admiral Ushakov Maritime State University and held a lecture on the specifics of maritime business in order to popularize the profession of a sailor. Employees of the branch also talked about the activities of FSUE “Rosmorport”, measures to ensure the navigation safety taken by the enterprise, and discussed with students how demanding their chosen profession was.

Sergey Zaryaev, Deputy Director for Navigation Safety of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch, and Dmitry Koshevarov, Acting Head of the Fleet Operation Department, attended the festive events at the Admiral Ushakov Maritime State University. It is the largest educational institution of water transport and the only higher educational institution in the south of Russia that graduates marine specialists. Many employees of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch were students of the university, which carefully preserves maritime traditions and educates new generations as true professionals and patriots.

Ilya Vertiy, Deputy Director for Navigation Safety of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Petropavlovsk Branch, and Rustam Najiev, Head of the Petropavlovsk Branch vessel traffic system, took part in an event dedicated to the Day of Russian Students at the Kamchatka State Technical University named after the pioneer seafarer Vitus Bering.

Cadets of the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy were welcomed by Igor Glukhov, Deputy Director for Navigation Safety of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch, Oleg Getun, Head of Vladivostok VTS, and Gennady Trapeznikov, captain-instructor. The meeting was organized as a discussion on various aspects of the sailor's profession. At the end of the event, employees of the branch congratulated the youth on the holiday and presented small gifts from the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch.

Informal meetings of heads of government institutions and private enterprises, public opinion leaders and well-known figures of culture and sports with students and graduates of universities were held throughout the country in various formats. According to the organizers of the All-Russian campaign, the events allow experts to demonstrate the possibilities of professional self-realization, communicate with the modern generation, share their work experience and express gratitude to their native universities.
