The Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation presented the state award to Vladimir Shtrambrand, Assistant to General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport”

On December 12, the Day of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Saveliev presented state awards to distinguished employees of the transport industry. Vladimir Shtrambrand, Assistant to General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport”, was awarded the second-class medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” for his labor achievements and long-term conscientious work.

Vladimir Shtrambrand is widely known in the transport industry, his work experience is 56 years. 28 years he devoted to specialized studies and service in the Navy of the Russian Federation on nuclear submarines of the Northern Fleet and the other 28 years - to work in the system of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

During his service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and work in the industry, he has repeatedly been awarded state and departmental awards for successful and effective work, diligence, high professionalism and advanced technical solutions in the field of construction and development of the domestic fleet. He was awarded the badges “Honorary Worker of the Marine Fleet” and “Honorary Worker of Transport of Russia” in 2014 and 2019, respectively, as well as the medal “For Merits in Development of Transport Complex of Russia” in 2020.

For almost two decades, Vladimir Shtrambrand has been working at FSUE “Rosmorport” in senior positions related to the operation, repair and construction of the company's service and auxiliary fleet to strengthen transport and logistics infrastructure throughout the country. The construction of the first state-owned non-nuclear icebreakers of the 21900 project, “Moscow” and “St. Petersburg”, as well as an improved series of the 21900M project, “Murmansk”, “Vladivostok” and “Novorossiysk” icebreakers, was carried out at domestic shipyards under his experienced leadership. In 2013, Vladimir Shtrambrand was awarded the prize of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology for his participation in the development of icebreakers of the 21900 project.

To fulfill the task of ensuring the transport accessibility of the Kaliningrad region, set by the head of state to transport workers, Vladimir Shtrambrand took a personal part in the selection, inspection and purchase of the Baltiysk sea ferry, in developing solutions for its modernization, organization of commissioning and installation on the line between the seaports of St. Petersburg (Ust-Luga) and Kaliningrad (Baltiysk) for year-round operation without icebreaker assistance.

Later, Vladimir Shtrambrand, as a high-class professional, was involved in the development of the technical project of the country's first innovative eco-ferry “Marshal Rokossovsky”, consideration and development of design solutions for the introduction of a dual-fuel power plant capable of operating on diesel fuel with low sulfur content and liquefied natural gas, optimization of the main dimensions of the new ferry according to criteria of maximum economic efficiency in an unstable cargo base. Vladimir Shtrambrand, as an authorized representative of the state customer, also accompanied the construction of the “Marshal Rokossovsky” sea ferry, which was commissioned on the Seaport of Ust-Luga – Seaport of Kaliningrad ferry line with the participation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Earlier, Anton Lapshin, commissioner for ship acceptance of the Department of Construction Control and Technical Supervision of the Construction of ships of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Fleet Development and Construction Department, was awarded the second-class medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” for labor achievements and long-term conscientious work, as well as for participation in the design, construction and successful testing of the “Marshal Rokossovsky” sea ferry.
