FSUE “Rosmorport” participates in the Russia on the Move Exhibition, which opened at VDNH

On November 25, an official opening of the Russia on the Move Exhibition was held in Moscow in attendance of First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov and Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev. The transport exhibition started working in Pavilion 15 “Povolzhye” at VDNH within the Russia Expo international exhibition and forum. As part of the general exposition of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, FSUE “Rosmorport” shows its key vessels at the exhibition.

The honored guests made a tour around the exhibition, which consists of several blocks dedicated to various types of transport. Boris Tashimov, Acting Head of Rosmorrechflot, reported to the official delegation about the achievements in the sphere of water transport, including the projects of FSUE “Rosmorport”, presented in the exhibition hall.

“Rosmorrechflot is proud to take part in the largest and most significant event in the country, presenting the most important achievements in recent decades, as well as strategic projects for the development of water transport until 2030, along with leading companies in various sectors of the economy. The exposition is designed to raise awareness among Muscovites and visitors of how important the marine and river industry is for citizens’ everyday life and for the economy of our country, as well as to demonstrate the competitiveness and stable development of the domestic marine and river transport complex,” Boris Tashimov said.

He emphasized that 9 leading companies of the marine and river industry presented 18 exhibits at the exposition “Maritime and Inland Water Transport”. The world's largest icebreaker fleet, the country's largest grouping of dredging fleet, innovative vessels of the service and auxiliary fleet, development of communication, a-Navigation and e-Navigation technologies are the key topics visitors can get acquainted with at the exposition.

FSUE “Rosmorport” presented a model of the world's largest and most powerful diesel-electric icebreaker Viktor Chernomyrdin of project 22600, icebreakers of the advanced domestic project 21900M Vladivostok, Murmansk and Novorossiysk, the innovative dual-fuel ferry of project CNF19M Marshal Rokossovsky, the self-dumping dredger Kronshlot, which is a part of the country's largest group of dredging vessels of FSUE “Rosmorport”, involved in ambitious work at the Volga-Caspian Sea Shipping Canal, at the exposition “Maritime and Inland Water Transport”. Visitors will also be able to watch videos about the operation of the enterprise's vessels.

In addition, visitors can see diver’s suits provided by FSBI “Morspassluzhba” in the exposition hall, as well as a simulator for a-Navigation and e-Navigation of Federal State Institution of Higher Education “Russian University of Transport” allowing everyone to try controlling the country's first dual-fuel eco-ferry “Marshal Rokossovsky”, and “Polar Express” of FSUE “Morsvyazsputnik” – the project of the transarctic underwater fiber-optic communication line Murmansk–Vladivostok.

The Russia on the Move Exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Transport of Russia, demonstrates the power and greatness of our country, its vast expanses by introducing the extensive transport network of the state: air, water, aviation, railway transport; construction of roads, bridges, checkpoints across the state border; transport security activity; activities of international transport corridors; development of digital services, unmanned aircraft systems, etc. Business, cultural, entertainment and educational programs are planned for the entire period of the exhibition.

The Russia Expo opened in Moscow at VDNH on the National Unity Day on November 4 and will last until April 12, 2024. The event is held at the initiative of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in order to demonstrate the most important achievements of our country in recent years. All regions of the Russian Federation, as well as federal executive authorities, corporations and delegations of foreign countries will participate in the exhibition.
