Orchestra of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch gives a grand concert for its 15th anniversary
In honor of the 15th anniversary of the variety orchestra of the Far Eastern Basin Branch of FSUE “Rosmorport” and the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy, a grand anniversary concert was held for residents and guests of Vladivostok on October 8.
During the event, an award ceremony was held for the orchestra's employees, who were encouraged by certificates of honor and commendation from the Ministry of Transport and Road Management of Primorsky Krai, the Duma of the city of Vladivostok, the Administration of the city of Vladivostok. Honored guests came to congratulate the orchestra team – representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Archives of Primorsky Krai and the Duma of the city of Vladivostok.
Evgeniy Pankratov, Director of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch, congratulated the orchestra on the significant date, and he also passed warm congratulations to the team from Sergey Pylin, General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport”.
The concert program featured famous Russian and foreign rock hits, original compositions. As part of the event, the premiere of a song dedicated to the Primorsky Krai was performed. The orchestra also performed a song about FSUE “Rosmorport”, written in honor of the 20th anniversary of the enterprise, and showed a video which was shot for it.
The orchestra of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch and the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy was formed in 2008. Anatoly Yakimenko is the orchestra's artistic director and conductor. The repertoire of the collective includes more than a thousand works of classical, jazz, pop, rock and dance music. The orchestra actively performs in Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai and the Far Eastern region as a whole; it is a regular participant in the cultural program of the Eastern Economic Forum, celebrations of the Ministry of Transport of Russia and the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport. The team makes a significant contribution to the preservation of the fleet and maritime industry traditions in the Russian Far East.
