Employees of the Far Eastern Basin Branch and the Crimean Branch of FSUE “Rosmorport” took part in the All-Russian educational campaign Share Уour Knowledge acting as lecturers of higher educational institutions of the marine profile.

On September 25, Sergey Komlev, head of the Fleet Operation Department of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Crimean Branch, and Valery Vasilyev, captain-mentor, visited the Vice Admiral Kornilov Maritime Institute – a branch of the Federal State-Financed Educational Institution of Higher Education “Admiral Ushakov Maritime State University” in Sevastopol, where they delivered lectures to an audience of first-year students. The employees of the branch told the novice sailors about the specifics of their chosen profession, the prospects for the development of the maritime industry in the Russian Federation and the construction of innovative vessels. The lecturers paid special attention to the issues of compliance with safety and labor protection requirements on vessels during the period of sailing practice. The specialists shared their life experience with the cadets, telling about their professional path and formation in the maritime profession. The lecture was attended by fifty children studying to become boatmasters and mechanics.

On September 29, Roman Kolesnik, the assistant captain for educational work of the training and production vessel Professor Khlyustin of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch, visited the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy in Vladivostok. The employee gave a lecture for seventy cadets, highlighting in detail the work of vessel's mechanisms and telling about the specifics of work at sea.

The All-Russian educational campaign “Share Your Knowledge” is organized by the Russian “Znanie” Society in August and September of 2023 in order to develop educational activities in schools, organizations of secondary vocational education, universities and other educational institutions of the country.

FSUE “Rosmorport” has been holding planned activities for organizing sailing practice for cadets of leading maritime universities since 2015. The practice takes place on the FSUE “Rosmorport” training vessels: the sail training boats Mir, Khensones and Nadezhda, the training and production vessel Professor Khlyustin and the icebreaker Kapitan Khlebnikov.

Since 2016, FSUE “Rosmorport” has been successfully implementing a career guidance project for schoolchildren “My Port”, aimed at popularizing the professions of port business and maintaining maritime traditions among the younger generation.
