FSUE “Rosmorport” presents project of import substitution for VTS at the NEVA 2023 Exhibition

During the XVII International exhibition on civil shipbuilding, navigation, port activities and shelf development NEVA 2023, FSUE “Rosmorport” together with Sitronics Group presented promising domestic developments for digital transformation of vessel traffic systems (VTS) and ensuring navigation safety:

- system of processing, displaying and registering of information of VTS SeaTraffic (SPDRI VTS SeaTraffic), designed to control and ensure navigation safety in coastal waters, as well as to prevent emergencies and possible negative consequences from navigation;

- coastal radar station SMR-X (SMR-X radar), designed for round-the-clock radar monitoring of the navigation situation in vessel traffic systems and transport security.

During the event, Sergey Simonov, Deputy General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport”, held a working meeting with Sitronics Group on the status of the implementation of a particularly significant project “Transfer of the vessel traffic system of the seaport of Sochi to domestic software”, under which the Wartsila Finnish company software is being replaced with the domestic SPDRI VTS SeaTraffic.

The project of transferring the VTS of the seaport of Sochi to domestic software is being implemented within the Industrial competence center for the replacement of foreign industry digital products and solutions, including software and hardware complexes, “Sea and river transport” (ICC “Sea and river transport”). Being a pilot project for FSUE “Rosmorport”, it is currently at its final stage, the completion of work is scheduled for December 2023.

The preliminary results achieved during the project are planned to be covered in detail at the demo day of the ICC “Sea and river transport”, which will be held this year as part of Transport Week 2023 - the annual main business event of the transport industry organized by the Ministry of Transport of Russia.

The demo day of the ICC “Sea and river transport” will be a key event for the public presentation of the status of projects implementation, summing up the results of the work of the ICC and discussing further plans and prospects in the field of import substitution of technologies for the industry.
