160 employees of FSUE “Rosmorport” from Kaliningrad to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky took part in the All-Russian educational campaign - environmental dictation EcoTolk in an online mode.

This year, the campaign was held on September 11-18 under the motto “Preserve the Arctic – Save the Planet”.

The event is held annually with the support of the Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection in order to popularize environmental knowledge and increase public interest in environmental protection, as well as heighten the level of environmental literacy.

The development and implementation of innovative solutions aimed at reducing negative environmental impact is one of the priorities for FSUE “Rosmorport”. Thus, in 2022, the enterprise commissioned two new innovative dual-fuel ferries of the CNF19M project - Marshal Rokossovsky and General Chernyakhovsky. Today, both vessels operate on the Seaport of Ust-Luga – Seaport of Kaliningrad sea line, providing stable transport communication of the Kaliningrad Region with the rest of Russia.

The power plant of the FSUE “Rosmorport” innovative ferries runs on liquefied natural gas or diesel fuel with a low sulfur content. This allows to reduce exhaust gas emissions into the environment: for carbon dioxide – by 20-30 %, for nitrogen oxides – by more than 90 %, for sulfur oxides and soot – by 100 % compared to similar vessels on traditional heavy fuel.

After the first All-Russian educational campaign in a form of an environmental dictation EcoTolk was held in 2020 gathering more than 20,000 people online and offline, it was decided to hold the event on an annual basis.

In 2021, 120 countries took part in the environmental event.

In 2022, the Third All-Russian environmental dictation EcoTolk was held, and it was the first time employees of FSUE “Rosmorport” took part in it.
