The third passenger vessel moors to the new floating berth in Taganrog

On September 6, the passenger vessel Alexander Radishchev moored to the new floating berth No. 9 of FSUE “Rosmorport” in the seaport of Taganrog, becoming the third motor ship the updated complex of the Taganrog Sea Station receives. The first vessel call took place on July 2, 2023, when the motor ship Konstantin Fedin moored to the floating berth, and on August 2 the new berth received the motor ship Sergey Kuchkin. All vessels belong to the Vodohod company.

There are 135 passengers and a crew of 78 people aboard the Alexander Radishchev motor ship. The vessel has a length of 125 m, a width of 16.7 m, a loaded draught of 2.8 m. The vessel follows the route Nizhny Novgorod – Rostov-on-Don – Taganrog – Nizhny Novgorod.

FSUE “Rosmorport” completed the construction of the floating berth for the reception of passenger vessels in the seaport of Taganrog in May 2023. The 96 m long and 16 m wide berth was built pursuant to the instructions of Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, the control of the implementation of the roadmap and operational plan is carried out by Governor of the Rostov Region Vassily Golubev. The enterprise has also carried out repair dredging in the water area of the seaport to ensure the approach and mooring of sea and river passenger vessels at the berth.

The new port infrastructure facility is designed for passenger vessels up to 141 m long. The launch of the berth has allowed restoring passenger water communication between Taganrog, Azov and Rostov-on-Don, and also has had a positive impact on the tourist attractiveness of the historical city of Taganrog and the development of the region in general.
