Employees of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Petropavlovsk Branch follows their colleagues from six other branches of the enterprise and took part in the anniversary campaign “ROSMORPORT - 20 years in the right direction!” by setting a flag at the highest point of the active volcano Avachinskaya Sopka (Avachinsky Volcano) in the south of the Kamchatka Peninsula.

The staff of the Branch consisted of 21 specialists in equipment with the FSUE “Rosmorport” anniversary symbols, made a seven-hour ascent to the top of the Avachinsky volcano to a height of 2,741 m during the campaign. They made a climb on the 1,700 m height.

At the top of Avachinskaya Sopka from a bird's-eye view travelers captured on camera the beauty of the surrounding landscape and the process of installing the flag on the background of the massive cone of the Koryakskaya Sopka volcano, which is located in close proximity to the Avachinsky volcano, its height is 3,456 meters.

Avachinsky Volcano is an active volcano in Kamchatka, in the southern part of the Eastern Range, north of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, between the rivers Avacha and Nalychevo, a place of pilgrimage for tourists who love extreme sports. Interestingly, the first studies of the natural object were carried out in the 1730s. The lower slopes of the volcano are covered with forests of cedar shrub and stone birch, while the upper part is covered with snow and glaciers. The volcanological station of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, Far Eastern Branch, RAS is located at the foot.

The “ROSMORPORT - 20 years in the right direction!” campaign is designed to show the high importance of the enterprise in the development of the maritime industry of the country. The campaign allows to reflect the large-scale geography of the largest titular owner of coastal-port infrastructure facilities and service and auxiliary fleet - from Kaliningrad to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, as well as to tell about the beauty and grandeur of Russia's natural attractions.

Earlier, employees of the Murmansk and Arkhangelsk Branches participated in the campaign. Jubilee flags are installed on the southern coast by Makhachkala and Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branches. In the Far East, the campaign was supported in Sakhalin and North-Eastern Basin Branches.
