Arkhangelsk Branch picks up the baton of the “ROSMORPORT – 20 years in the right direction!” campaign

The FSUE “Rosmorport” Arkhangelsk Branch has joined the anniversary campaign "ROSMORPORT – 20 years in the right direction!". The events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the successful work of the largest title holder of the country's coastal-port infrastructure facilities and service and auxiliary fleet were held on Mudyug Island, near the seaport of Arkhangelsk, and in the seaport of Sabetta.

Participants of the campaign from various branches of the enterprise located all over Russia install flags with the anniversary symbols of FSUE “Rosmorport” on significant geographical sites in their region. Thus, specialists of the Communications and Electrical Navigation Service, the Sea Canals Service, the Department of Capital Construction and Repair and the Maintenance Supply Department of the Arkhangelsk Branch delivered the banner onboard the Typhon hydrographic boat to Mudyug Island in the Dvina Bay of the White Sea.

All vessels calling at the seaport of Arkhangelsk and leaving it pass through the canal along Mudyug Island. On the island, there are an automatic radar post of the Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) and the main entrance gate to the seaport of Arkhangelsk - the Mudyug towers lighthouse gate. The employees of the branch installed the flag on the rear leading beacon at a height of 30 meters above sea level.

Mudyug Island is considered a landmark of the region because of its unique nature and historical monuments. The Mudyug Landscape Reserve, the Museum of the Mudyug Concentration Camp of 1918-1920 and the granite memorial “Victims of the Intervention” are the tourist attractions of the area.

Specialists of the Sabetta Subdivision of the Arkhangelsk Branch within the anniversary event took off the seaport of Sabetta administrative area towards radar post No. 3 on the Chetra TM-140 tracked all-terrain vehicle. The participants of the campaign installed the flag on the tower of the radar post, located 85 meters above sea level.

The seaport of Sabetta is an Arctic port located on the western shore of the Gulf of Ob, the Kara Sea, in the Far North area. Radar post No. 3 of the Sabetta VTS on the Yamal Peninsula, which is situated in the south of the sea canal 100 km north of the seaport, is its farthest point.

The Arkhangelsk Branch became the fourth division of FSUE “Rosmorport” to support the campaign “ROSMORPORT – 20 years in the right direction!”. Earlier it was held by employees of the North-Eastern and Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin branches, while the Makhachkala Branch was the pioneer in organizing the event.
