On the eve of the Day of Workers of the Maritime and River Fleet, the Transport Bulletin, a special supplement to the Transport of Russia newspaper, published a material about the successful 20-year activity of FSUE “Rosmorport” for the benefit of the Russian maritime industry. This year the enterprise celebrates its anniversary and summarizes the results of its activity since 2003. During this time, FSUE “Rosmorport” has firmly taken its leading position in the industry – the enterprise constantly provides the necessary conditions for safe navigation, operating in 59 seaports of Russia out of 63.

FSUE “Rosmorport” has implemented big projects that are strategically important for Russia's logistics security and economic growth. Today, FSUE “Rosmorport” is the customer of 21 projects of construction and reconstruction of port infrastructure facilities under the Comprehensive Plan for Modernization and Expansion of the Main Infrastructure.

For 20 years, FSUE “Rosmorport” has formed the largest group of service and auxiliary fleet in the country - 292 units of vessels, including an icebreaking flotilla consisting of 35 icebreakers and ice-class tugs which carries out thousands of operations in the ice every year. The enterprise's icebreaking fleet includes the first non-nuclear icebreakers Moscow and Saint Petersburg of project 21900, built at the domestic shipyard, a series of icebreakers of the improved project 21900M: Vladivostok, Murmansk and Novorossiysk, as well as the largest and most powerful diesel-electric icebreaker in the world Viktor Chernomyrdin, which started working in the Gulf of Finland in 2020.

FSUE “Rosmorport” was the first in Russia to implement a project for the construction of two innovative automobile and railway eco-ferries Marshal Rokossovsky and General Chernyakhovsky, capable of operating both on LNG and diesel fuel with a low sulfur content to ensure transport accessibility of the Kaliningrad Region.

Being the owner of the largest dredging fleet in the country, which includes 46 dredgers, the enterprise annually provides dredging operations to achieve the navigation parameters of the waters of seaports. The complex works on the development of the Volga-Caspian Sea Shipping Canal, which FSUE “Rosmorport” carries out as part of the global task of ensuring the operation of the international North-South transport corridor, are unprecedented in scale.

FSUE “Rosmorport” does not stay still and continues to move forward, confidently carrying out work on the introduction of unmanned technologies, elements of artificial intelligence and other innovative solutions into its production activities. The enterprise is one of the first in Russia to participate in the implementation of the initiative for the autonomous navigation. Tests of a-Navigation technologies are being conducted on the vessels of FSUE “Rosmorport”, as well as approaches to their further implementation are being explored.

More information about the enterprise can be found by visiting the photo exhibition, which opened on Gogolevsky Boulevard in Moscow on the eve of the Day of Workers of the Maritime and River Fleet. The exhibition consists of unique shots – panoramas of seaports taken from an areal view, chronicles of Arctic expeditions, rare artistic photographs of FSUE “Rosmorport” vessels. The exhibition is open to everyone until July 16.

Employees of the FSUE “Rosmorport” central office and visitors to the head office in Moscow can see miniature copies of the photo without leaving their workplace: the exhibition is presented in the building at the information stand of the enterprise. On the eve of the holiday, a broadcast of media content prepared by children of employees of the FSUE “Rosmorport” central office and branches was also organized in the central office building: audio recordings of children's poems of their own composition dedicated to the anniversary of the enterprise go along with a demonstration of children's drawings about the maritime industry on the screen in the office.
