FSUE “Rosmorport” opens a media laboratory for students of the Shtormovoy children's camp

In partnership with the Orlyonok Russian Child Center, FSUE “Rosmorport” has opened a media laboratory for students of the Shtormovoy children's camp.

The enterprise donated new equipment to the children's camp for the media laboratory: SLR cameras, lenses, laptops, microphones, studio light, chromakey, stabilizer, tripod, and other equipment.

At the basis of the new class, children will be taught the basics of reportage shooting, the art of photography, the specifics of making video content. Knowledge gained during the course will allow students to independently cover the activities of the camp, the key events of the marine profile programs during educational shifts and solemn events that regularly take place at the camp.

On June 28, a solemn line “Raise the sails!” took place in the Shtormovoy camp on the occasion of the opening of the 7th thematic shift “Marine shift “I want to rise up from a sailor boy”. Children lined up for the festive event in new equipment with the symbols of FSUE “Rosmorport” and Orlyonok child center. Traditionally, at the ceremony, the participants of the shift, including 50 children and grandchildren of employees of FSUE “Rosmorport”, were initiated into green hands, young sailors and seamen.

Those children who had previously been trained in the marine craft in the Shtormovoy camp and earned the title of a young sailor, seaman and senior sailor were awarded shoulder collars – jacks. Young seafarers, who have yet to get acquainted with the basics of maritime disciplines, are jokingly called green hands at the camp. They will have the opportunity to “rise up” in rank at the end of the shift in case they pass final maneuvers.

During the line-up, the leader's crew traditionally handed over the Shtormovoy camp’s flag to the children's group with the flag that had won the competition of groups with flags “Eyes flag!” that had been held the day before in the camp.

The event ended with a solemn ceremony of raising the flags of the Russian Federation and the Navy.
