Federal Autonomous Institution “Main Department of State Expertise” (FAI “Glavgosexpertiza of Russia”) has issued a positive conclusion based on the results of the review of the design documentation and the results of engineering surveys on the first stage of construction of the seaport of Rostov-on-Don vessel traffic system (VTS).

The project documentation provides for the installation of the VTS with additional equipment, including an automated radar post of the seaport of Rostov-on-Don VTS, and the construction of a 75.5-meters-high tower, as well as other infrastructure facilities of FSUE “Rosmorport”.

The VTS of the seaport of Rostov-on-Don will organize the vessel traffic in the VTS area and provide assistance in navigation, transmit navigation, operational and other information.

The new facility is expected to significantly increase the level of navigation safety in the water area of the seaport of Rostov-on-Don and on approaches to it.
