FSUE “Rosmorport” celebrates the Russia Day with solemn events on sailing vessels and a festive concert in Vladivostok

Solemn events dedicated to the state holiday – the Russia Day, were held on FSUE “Rosmorport” sailing training vessels.

A solemn parade of the crew and cadets took place at the Khersones sailboat. Almost 100 students of the Kherson State Maritime Academy, Kerch State Maritime Technological University and Volga State University of Water Transport are on board the vessel. On June 12, the State Flag of the Russian Federation and the dressing flags were raised on the sailboat.

Tribute to the state symbols was also paid at the Mir sailing ship. The flag-raising ceremony was attended by about 80 cadets of the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, including the College of SUMIS, and the Volga State University of Water Transport. Alexander Lagunin, Senior Head of the practice, and Andrey Orlov, the captain of the vessel, addressed the cadets with solemn congratulations. On the evening of June 12, the cadets gave an amateur concert: the trainees played compositions on musical instruments, read poems, performed patriotic songs. From June 15 to June 18, the ship will also host a sports all-around event dedicated to the Russia Day - so, the celebration will continue for a few more days.

In Vladivostok, there was a big festive concert devoted to the Russia Day. The orchestra of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch and the Maritime State University named after admiral G.l. Nevelskoy (artistic director and conductor – Anatoly Yakimenko) has prepared a musical program for residents and guests of the Far Eastern capital. Favorite melodies of several generations of Russians were performed on the open stage on the main square in Vladivostok: the march “Triumph of the Winners”, the waltz “The Amur Waves”, film music, patriotic songs.
