Employees of FSUE “Rosmorport” receive state awards

On December 27, on the eve of the New Year, the Ministry of Transport of Russia held a solemn ceremony of awarding state and departmental awards to the best employees of the industry. The awards were presented by Minister of Transport of Russia Vitaly Saveliev.

By order of Minister of Transport, Sergey Simonov, Deputy General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport”, was awarded the medal “For Cooperation” for his labor achievements and many years of conscientious work in transport. Sergey Simonov took this position in 2017 and has been coordinating digital development of the information technology infrastructure and communication systems of the enterprise since then. FSUE “Rosmorport” has achieved significant results in this field, becoming the leader of the marine and river transport industry.

The honorary diploma of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin was awarded to the head of the organizational and personnel department of FSUE “Rosmorport” Pyotr Baidin for his contribution to the preparation and holding of socially significant events. At the enterprise, Pyotr Baidin ensures the formation of a unified personnel and social policy, as well as monitoring of its implementation.

As part of the solemn ceremony, words of gratitude were addressed to Sergei Vorobyov, captain of the sailing training vessel Nadezhda of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin branch. The captain of the frigate gave a third part of his life to work on the sailboat, where more than 400 cadets annually undergo a training sailing practice. For his invaluable contribution to the training of personnel for the Russian Navy, Sergei Vorobyov was awarded the Order of Friendship by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In 2022, training sailing vessel Nadezhda celebrated its 30th anniversary. During its entire history, the sailboat has carried out many diplomatic voyages, visited a large number of countries, took on board tens of thousands of guests of various nationalities, repeatedly become the winner of major international regattas.

During the ceremony, Minister of Transport of Russia Vitaly Saveliev addressed the awardees, emphasizing:

“Each of us understands that our country has made its historical turn in 2022. Despite all the obstacles from unfriendly countries, we have managed to achieve decent results in the industry under these conditions.”

FSUE “Rosmorport” has made a significant contribution to the achievements of the transport industry following in the outgoing year. Thus, as part of the implementation of the federal project “Social and Economic Development of the Kaliningrad Region”, FSUE “Rosmorport” has provided new dual-fuel ferries Marshal Rokossovsky and General Chernyakhovsky entering the strategically important line “Seaport of Ust-Luga – Seaport of Kaliningrad” this year.

Besides, as part of the implementation of the federal project “Seaports Development”, on November 16, 2022, a solemn ceremony of laying the keel of an icebreaker with a capacity of 18 MW of Icebreaker7 ice class was held at the Vyborg Shipyard in the Leningrad Region.

In 2022, the construction of a ferry and passenger berth on the left bank of the Anadyr estuary in the Ugolnye Kopi village, provided by Comprehensive Plan for Modernization and Development for the period up to 2024, was completed. This will ensure safe sea transportation of passengers and vehicles through the Anadyr Estuary between the Ugolny airport, located in the village of Ugolnye Kopi, and the city of Anadyr with the possibility of passenger traffic of up to 20 thousand people per year and cargo traffic of up to 6 thousand cars per year.
