On the eve of the New Year holidays, the light music orchestra of FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch and the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy traditionally prepared and presented to the audience a cycle of four concert programs dedicated to the meeting of the coming 2023.

At the end of November, a concert for children dedicated to their favorite cartoons was held. The concert program of the orchestra, reinforced by a string group, was performed in a symphonic performance and was accompanied by the cartoon videos.

The December program was opened by the premiere of the concert "Rock Hits 3": the program included the best compositions of famous rock bands Nirvana, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Metallica, AC/DC, Linkin Park, Scorpions, Queen, as well as other works in arrangements for a variety symphony orchestra.

In continuation of the rock music theme, a two-hour concert for connoisseurs of Russian rock took place on December 18. The concert featured familiar melodies of the groups “Kino”, “Mummy Troll”, “Nautilus Pompilius”, “Agatha Christie”, “Chaif”, “Chizh & Co” and other compositions. The concert impressed the audience with its scale, brightness of colors, video installations, powerful sound and light.

On December 25, on the eve of the New Year holidays, the orchestra team congratulated residents and guests of Vladivostok with the program “New Year's Movie Hits”. The audience heard popular melodies from the Soviet films “Diamond Hand”, “Gentlemen of Fortune”, “Office romance”, “Ivan Vasilyevich changes profession”, “Wizards”, “Train station for two”, “Moscow does not believe in tears”, “Love and doves” and others in the new arrangement .

All New Year's concerts were sold out. The orchestra once again confirmed the great importance of musical art as one of the important elements of preserving naval traditions.

This year, the orchestra's staff joined the All-Russian project “Pushkin Card for Youth”, within which young people aged 14 to 22 years can buy tickets to the orchestra's concerts. Discounts are also traditionally provided to pensioners.

This season, for the first time, season tickets were sold for concerts of the orchestra, and they were sold out in the first week after their appearance on sale.

The event for the musical group was a tour to Primorye. In the tight schedule of the orchestra, there was time for trips with concerts to Nakhodka and Ussuriysk, where the band was met by large concert halls filled with people.

In 2023, the orchestra of FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch and the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy is planning to continue to please the audience with new programs. The musical composition by composer Georgy Sviridov for A.S. Pushkin’s story “Blizzard”, which the orchestra will perform on January 15, is very popular among the public. The story is read by the national Artist of Russia Vladimir Sergiyakov. A new program is also being prepared to coincide with the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day.
