The General Chernyakhovsky ferry entering to the Ust-Luga Seaport – Kaliningrad Seaport ferry line was recognized as the “Event of the Year” within the framework of the “Profi – Results of the Year” Award based on the expert opinion of the Kaliningrad Region business community. The corresponding certificate was presented to the Deputy Director of the North-Western Basin Branch of the FSUE “Rosmorport” – the Head of the Kaliningrad Department Andrey Moshkov.

The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the “Profi – Results of the Year” Award took place in Kaliningrad on December 9, 2022.

The innovative dual-fuel ferry, General Chernyakhovsky, built by order of the FSUE “Rosmorport”, has been operating on the line Ust–Luga Seaport - Kaliningrad Seaport, strategically important for Russia, since October 6, 2022. Its task is to ensure stable transport communication of the Kaliningrad region with the mainland Russia. A vessel similar in characteristics, the Marshal Rokossovsky ferry, entered the line in March 2022. During the operation time, the ferries made 59 sailings, transported 7,185 freight cars and 3,968 units of rolling equipment.

According to the expert council of the "Profi – Results of the Year" Award, the expansion of maritime transportation between the Kaliningrad and Leningrad Regions of Russia plays a key role in the development of the region and ensuring its transport security, contributes to increasing business mobility in the region.
