Vitaly Savelyev, the Minister of Transport congratulates workers and veterans of the transport industry of Russia

Dear friends and colleagues!

I sincerely congratulate you on our main professional holiday – Transport Worker's Day.

The transport complex is the most important element of the national economy. The availability of goods and services, the effective development of production, mobility and well-being of our citizens depend largely on the stable operation of transport.

Domestic transport has undergone a significant transformation in just a few years. Digitalization of the industry has brought the efficiency and service of passenger and cargo transportation to a new level – trips around the country are becoming more accessible and more comfortable, and costs are reduced for business.

Multimodal transportation has become possible, thanks to which passengers reach their destination with the greatest comfort and less time. And for the economy, costs are reduced.

We are successfully adapting to the new conditions. Our technological independence continues to expand. In the new realities, the development of transport corridors to the south and east, the Northern Sea Route, is of particular importance.

Today I want to say “thank you” to engineers and designers, drivers
and pilots, builders and workers, representatives of many other transport specialties. I thank the veterans of the industry who pass on their experience to the younger generation.

And, of course, special thanks to all those who are engaged in the restoration of the transport infrastructure of new regions of our country in this difficult time.

I sincerely wish you health, inexhaustible source of energy and forces in our common cause!

Happy Transport Worker's Day!

V.G. Savelyev
