FSUE "Rosmorport" took part in the All-Russian campaign "Victory Horn"

Branches of FSUE "Rosmorport" and Onega Shipyard joined the annual All-Russian campaign "Victory Horn" on Victory Day as a sign of eternal memory and gratitude to the heroes who fell on the battlefields during the Great Patriotic War. At exactly noon local time, festive long-lasting sound signals were given on the vessels of the enterprise, as well as at the Onega Shipyard.

Vessels of the Far Eastern Basin branch took part in the event: the sailing training vessel Nadezhda, the icebreaker Kapitan Khlebnikov, the training and production vessel Professor Khlyustin. On the training and production vessel Professor Khlyustin, located on the roadstead in the seaport of Vladivostok, a solemn formation was held and thematic events were organized with the participation of cadets. All the vessels were decorated with flags of coloring. The victory horn was also sounded on the sailing training vessel Khersones.

The fleet of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin branch joined the event in almost full force – about 50 vessels sounded a horn.

From the Arkhangelsk branch of FSUE "Rosmorport", the icebreakers Kapitan Chadaev, Kapitan Evdokimov, as well as the vessels located in the seaport of Sabetta within the framework of the project for the construction of the terminal "Utrenniy" participated in the action: the tugs Pomor and Tolbukhin, as well as the icebreaker Saint Petersburg. From the Azov basin branch – icebreakers Kapitan Moshkin, Kapitan Demidov, tugboat Georgy Sedov, multi-pack dredger Kuban-2, oily water collector OS-57.

The action was also supported by vessels of the North-Western basin branch of the enterprise: icebreakers Mudyug, Ivan Kruzenshtern, Kapitan Sorokin, Ermak, Kapitan Nikolaev, Vladivostok, Murmansk, Kapitan Izmailov, Semyon Dezhnev, Yuri Lisyansky, Kapitan Kosolapov and four vessels of the Kaliningrad administration – pilot vessels Kapitan Belyaev, Pilot – 3, the furnishing vessel Fortuna and the hydrographic vessel Nadezhda. Another participant of the action was the world's most powerful non-nuclear icebreaker of the enterprise Viktor Chernomyrdin, which was on ice trials in the Arctic on May 9, 2022. The patriotic action dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the icebreaker steamer Alexander Sibiryakov, who heroically died, but did not lower the Soviet flag, was also organized on the vessel.

May 9 is a national holiday that embodies the strength and unity of our people, the power and greatness of our country. Many sailors of the civil fleet and port workers made an invaluable contribution to the Victory, ensuring the maintenance of uninterrupted operation of transport communications during the Great Patriotic War.

The “Victory Horn” campaign has been held since 2020 on the initiative of the World Ocean Museum in memory of the feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War. The vessels of the museum, as well as the United Shipbuilding Corporation, the Northern, Black Sea and Baltic fleets take part in the action annually.
