Sergey Pylin appointed to the position of General Director of FSUE "Rosmorport"

Sergey Pylin has been appointed to the position of General Director of FSUE "Rosmorport". The corresponding order of Rosmorrechflot No. 73/k-mrf dated February 7, 2022 was signed by the head of the agency Andrei Lavrishchev. The decision was approved by the Central Office of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

On February 8, 2022, the new head of FSUE “Rosmorport” was officially introduced to the personnel of the enterprise by Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Aleksandr Poshivai.

“The new leader was unanimously approved by senior executives of the Ministry of Transport of Russia and Rosmorrechflot. Sergey Vladimirovich has some significant work to do in the nearest future concerning corporatization of FSUE “Rosmorport” in order to improve the activity of the enterprise and ensure its comprehensive development. I am sure that he will show his best qualities in this position,” Aleksandr Poshivai said.
“I would like to express my hope that FSUE “Rosmorport” will remain the leading enterprise in the maritime industry that will serve as an example of organizing work aimed at achieving actual results, which we will improve every year. I would like to wish Sergey Vladimirovich and the staff of FSUE “Rosmorport” further fruitful work and success in our joint activities,” Andrei Lavrishchev continued his commencement address.
“Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Smirnov remains at FSUE “Rosmorport” in the position of First Deputy General Director and will continue to apply the knowledge and experience gained over the years of work in leadership positions,” the head of Rosmorrechflot emphasized.

For almost 12 years, Sergey Pylin successfully managed the North-Western Basin Branch of the enterprise, which was more than once awarded the title of “Best Branch of the Enterprise”.

During this time, projects for building hydraulic structures were realized, new water areas were put into operation, and much work was done to improve the system for ensuring the safety of navigation in the seaports of the Big Port of Saint Petersburg, Ust-Luga, Vyborg, Vysotsk, and Kaliningrad.

With Sergey Pylin in lead, the fleet of the branch was replenished with 6 new icebreakers, many service and auxiliary vessels, 2 dredgers, one tugboat and other vessels. The fleet of the branch began to provide services in seaports throughout the country, from Makhachkala to Vladivostok, and the vessels of the North-Western Basin Branch have been operating almost continuously in Sabetta for several years.

Sergey Vladimirovich Pylin was born on November 21, 1963 in Leningrad.

In 1985 he graduated from Higher Naval School named after M.V. Frunze with a specialization in ship armament, in 2002 he graduated from St. Petersburg Institute of Foreign Economic Relations, Economics and Law with a specialization in jurisprudence. He has a PhD in law, a scientific degree of assistant professor in the department of constitutional and municipal law, the military rank "Captain 3d rank".

He began his labor activity in 1980. From April 2010 till August 2010, he held the position of Deputy Director for development of the FSUE “Rosmorport” St. Petersburg Branch. In September 2010 he was appointed to the position of Director of the FSUE "Rosmorport" St. Petersburg branch, which was renamed into the FSUE "Rosmorport" North-Western Basin Branch in March 2011.

He has medal "For Impeccable Service", 3d class, Maritime Activities Medal, badges "Honored Worker of the Navy" and "Honored Worker of Russian Transport", gratitudes of the Chairman of the Maritime Board at the Government of the Russian Federation, of the Governor of Saint Petersburg, and of the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation.
