The icebreaker Dikson piloted the vessel Georgy Ushakov stuck in ice to Sever Bay

FSUE "Rosmorport" icebreakers continue to help vessels stuck in the ice of the Northern Sea Route. Thus, the icebreaker Dikson successfully piloted the bulk carrier Georgy Ushakov located in Yenisei Bay area to Sever Bay, where the construction of an oil terminal is underway.

Georgy Ushakov has been waiting for the icebreaker since November 13. The piloting of the bulk carrier started on November 21 and lasted for several days: the vessels faced heavy ice with a concentration of up to 10 points and ice compression. On November 25, Dikson and Georgy Ushakov reached Sever Bay, where the icebreaker scabbled a berth for mooring the bulk carrier.

FSUE "Rosmorport" has the world's largest icebreaking fleet. Every year the icebreakers of the enterprise carry out thousands of vessels pilotages.
