Khersones sailing training vessel took part in “Khersones Sailboat Cup” regatta as the main symbol of the race. Anchored in the Karadzhinskaya Bay at Cape Tarkhankut the frigate with dressing flags greeted the participants and guests of the regatta with a welcoming whistle of the ship's typhon.

The regatta was held as part of “Extreme Crimea 2021” festival and lasted from July 15 to 19. The competitions were held in the youth age category in Optimist class and in the youth and adult age category in the class of cruising yachts. Alexander Onishchenko, the captain of Khersones sailing vessel took part in the awarding ceremony of the regatta winners.

“Khersones Sailboat Cup” is traditionally held with the support of the Sailing Federation in order to develop sailing, cultural and patriotic education of the younger generation, acquaintance of teenagers and young people with maritime traditions.
