On May 24, Deputy Director for Navigation Safety of the FSUE "Rosmorport" Crimean Branch Nikolay Khamin met with the participants of the thematic program of the enterprise "To the dream under sails" in the children's camp "Rechnoi" of the ICC "Artek".

Nikolay Khamin gave the children a lecture on the history of the Russian marine fleet, the importance of Russian seaports, the development and creation of a unified marine ecosystem, as well as new technologies - informatization of the maritime sphere, modern shipbuilding on the example of vessels that make up the FSUE "Rosmorport" fleet. In his speech, he spoke in detail about the strategy for the development of the maritime industry until 2030.

The next part of the meeting was held in an interactive format. From the previous lectures of the speakers, the shift participants had already learned the trends in the development of the maritime industry, so they asked Nikolay Khamin about how and to what extent such professions as a port ecologist, a specialist in navigation in the Arctic, a "marine" programmer and others are already being implemented in the branches of the enterprise.

Artek residents were interested in both the professional path of Nikolai Khamin: how he came to the profession, which was the most difficult thing in his work, and highly specialized questions: do new composite materials enter into shipbuilding, are there domestic software developments that allow managing automated vessels, how are new technologies and energy sources used in production.

After an informative lecture, according to a common decision of the children, Nikolai Khamin was declared as one of the Artek residents and an Artek scarf was tied around his neck.
