Russian Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev issued a commendation for the pilot of the Ust-Luga Directorate of the North-Western Basin Branch of FSUE "Rosmorport" Dmitry Sidorkin for his outstanding professional achievements and diligent work on the transport.

Dmitry Sidorkin has been working at FSUE "Rosmorport" since January 2005. During 16 years of work at the enterprise he has proved to be a technically competent specialist, a professional navigator who knows and loves his profession, who has repeatedly proven that he is able to work effectively in difficult areas of navigation and any ice conditions.

He has extensive practical experience in the sphere of piloting all types of vessels entering the seaports of the Big Port St. Petersburg and Ust-Luga.

In October 2019, Dmitry Sidorkin, thanks to his professional skills, successfully provided pilotage assistance for the large-sized tanker Nordik Vega entering the seaport of Ust-Luga and its anchoring at the berth of the oil cargo complex. The operation was carried out at night under adverse weather conditions, with wind gusts up to 22 m/sec and sea disturbance up to 2.5 m.
