On March 22, within the framework of My Port project, competition for training under authorial program of the All-Russian Children's Center Okean starts
On March 22, a competitive selection for the right to enroll in the All-Russian Children's Center Okean for training under the authorial program "On the Seas around the Earth" will begin.
This year, within the framework of the partnership, the Children's Center is ready to accept 15 children from 13 to 17 years old for the seventh thematic session (May 28 - June 17). Eight places will go to the winners of the last year's competitive selection, who were not allowed to participate in sessions due to the pandemic.
The winners of this year's competition will be nominated for the remaining seven places allocated to the enterprise by the quota. The regulation on the conditions for participation in the competition will be published on the official site of the project https://moyport.info/ on the day of the start of the competitive selection.
Taking into account the difficult epidemiological situation, children are admitted to the center from the regions of the country where the incidence rate is lower than the national average.
As part of the program, experienced militia members from the Ocean Squadron will help students develop self-organization skills through roleplaying games. The session participants will get acquainted with the great geographical discoveries and will be able to gradually plot the routes of the great Russian navigators on modern geographical maps.
The children will master the primary skills of maritime practice, learn to knit sea knots, learn how to control and maneuver the rowing-sailing ship "YaL-6" and the dinghy of the "Optimist" class.
