Over 1 500 specialists carry New Year's watch at FSUE “Rosmorport”

More than 1 500 specialists will carry New Year's watch at FSUE “Rosmorport”: central office employees, crew members, pilots, operators of vessel traffic management systems (VTMS), Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS), water area surveillance operators and technical specialists of navigation safety systems.

For example, on New Year's Eve, 115 VTMS operators, 65 GMDSS operators, as well as 38 water surveillance operators and 47 technical specialists of navigation safety systems will be on duty. Besides, 132 pilots will be working.

On New Year's Eve, 1 138 craft workers will work on 36 icebreakers and 29 tugboats.

From January 1 to January 10 the duty will be organized in the central office of FSUE “Rosmorport”, and the Operational Headquarters for the Prevention of the Spread of COVID-19 also will be working on a daily basis.

FSUE “Rosmorport” is a strategic enterprise of the Russian port industry, which carry out its activities in 65 of 67 seaports in Russia. FSUE “Rosmorport” owns the world's largest icebreaking fleet. One of the key tasks of enterprise is ensuring security of vessel navigation in the waters of seaports and on approaches to them. The company carry out its activities in 15 frozen Russian seaports. The fleet includes 36 icebreakers and icebreaker tugs of various ice classes and capacities. The fleet of the enterprise includes 262 vessels in total.
