By the Russian Border Services Agency order dated 27.12.2010 № 451-ОД the rules for admission order through the checkpoints of the Russian Federation borders (the Rules) have been established.

The Rules (with particular extend on the Russian border marine checkpoints) include checkpoints admission, stay and exit rules for people, vehicle, cargo, goods and animals established on behalf of necessary conditions for border, customs and other types of control.

On the basis of the Rules and with a glance to local conditions and transport safety plans for transport infrastructure objects and admission and interior regime the territorial bodies of the Federal Agency for the Development of the State Border Infrastructure work out Order Rules for every checkpoint. The Rules are approved by the order of the checkpoint administration head in conclusion with authorities of border and customs bodies divisions and administration of airport (airfield), sea, river (lake) ports, railway, motor terminals and stations.

The Rules for every checkpoint are to define spatial and time limits of their activity and territories and facilities for border, customs and other types of control.

The order comes into force 10 days after the date of its official publication.
