By the Federal Agency for Marine and River Transport order dated 02.02.2011 № 9 new rules for federal budget subsidies provision to marine and river transport organizations (the Rules) have been approved.

The Rules establish the order of federal budget subsidies provision to marine and river transport organizations regardless of type of business entity, aside from federal budget institutions. The subsidies are provided to cost recovery connected with the following activities:
  - navigational and cartographic shipping supply on the Northern Sea Route;
  - measures for emergency standby on sea;
  - navigation safety on the Moscow Canal within established territorial boundaries and water supply activities.

The order comes into force 10 days after the date of its official publication.
