The Far Eastern Basin Branch set two additional beacons in the seaport of Vostochny

The Eastern Department of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch has set two regular beacons in the water area of the seaport of Vostochny (Wrangel Bay) in accordance with the description “Lights and Beacons of the Pacific Coast of Russia”, official No. 2401, for fencing a shoal at the mouth of the Khmylovka River during summer navigation.

The two additional beacons, which the branch sets annually in the seaport of Vostochny, mark the boundaries of the shoal in order to ensure navigation safety for vessels following to the berths of the seaport along the fairway No. 3.

The Eastern Department of the Far Eastern Basin Branch maintains 30 units of regular all-season beacons in the seaports of Vostochny and Nakhodka year round. This year, the branch has carried out a planned replacement of power supplies at all functioning beacons, which will ensure their uninterrupted operation in order to ensure navigation safety in the water area of the seaports of Vostochny and Nakhodka.
