14th concert season of the Far Eastern Basin Branch orchestra opens in Vladivostok

On September 25, 2022, the 14th concert season of the orchestra of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch and the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy (artistic director and conductor Anatoly Yakimenko) took place at the concert hall of the Far Eastern Maritime Training Center of the MSU named after adm. G.I. Nevelskoy with a solo program of the vocalist Alexander Pstyga who is famous in the Far East.

Alexander Pstyga brilliantly performed songs from the repertoire of such famous performers as Muslim Magomayev, Arno Babajanyan, Vladimir Vysotsky, as well as Leonid Agutin and other contemporary pop artists, and foreign hits. There were, of course, songs about the sea, which were accompanied by a video translated on a big screen telling about navigation practice of the cadets of the MSU named after adm. G.I. Nevelskoy on the Nadezhda sailboat of FSUE “Rosmorport”.

In the new concert season, the orchestra will delight the audience with premiere programs: “We are from the USSR”, Muslim Magomayev memorial evening, Russian and foreign rock. In December of the current year, shortly before the New Year holidays, concerts will be held with the performance of musical works from New Year's movies, music of Georgy Sviridov “Snowstorm” illustrating the story of A.S. Pushkin (read by People's Artist of the Russian Federation Vladimir Serguiyakov), as well as a concert program “The Magical World of Disney” for young viewers.

The orchestra is scheduled to perform in the cities of the Far East in the spring and summer of the next year.
