On September 20, 2022, the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch organized an excursion aboard the training sailing vessel Nadezhda for residents of Vladivostok with partial and complete visual impairment.

On board the legendary sailboat, the guests were greeted by the crew of the frigate and cadets of the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy, currently undergoing sailing practice. The future sailors held a master class on knitting sailor's knots and putting on safety harnesses and life jackets. After the participants obtained primary skills, a small competition was held between them on the speed and correctness of knitting sailor's knots and putting on safety equipment. The winners of the competition were awarded commemorative badges.

Aleksander Tsymbal, the sailboat captain's assistant for education and training, told the guests about the history and purpose of the vessel, the structure of its sailing equipment, and its victories in numerous maritime competitions.

The participants of the event were thrilled to learn about sea trips, life on the frigate during the voyage, as well as about other training sailing vessels of FSUE “Rosmorport”.

Leaving the sailboat, the guests thanked the crew and cadets for an exciting excursion, an interesting time and unforgettable impressions.
