Plaque commemorating Viktor Vanyukov, Honored Worker of the Navy, opened

On July 8, 2022, a solemn ceremony of opening a commemorative plaque in memory of Viktor Yuryevich Vanyukov, sea captain, former Director of the Far Eastern Basin Branch, Honored Worker of the Navy, took place at the Vladivostok VTS center of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch.

The bas-relief created by Georgy Sharoglazov, a famous Vladivostok sculptor and a member of the Russian Artists Association, was installed at the building of the Vladivostok VTS center.

Opening of the memorial plaque perpetuates the memory of Viktor Yuryevich Vanyukov in FSUE “Rosmorport”, Director of the Far Eastern Basin Branch Evgeniy Pankratov noted in his speech. Former Director of the branch seem to return to his team and continue the work started, meeting and escorting vessels in the seaport of Vladivostok.

Andrey Brik, Chairman of the Vladivostok City Duma, Anna Aleko, Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Primorsky Krai, Denis Burov, Rector of the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy, and Alexander Vanyukov, captain of the seaport of Vladivostok, said kind words about Viktor Yuryevich.

The honor to open the commemorative plaque was granted to Alexander Kozlov, Head of the Vladivostok Vessel Traffic System, and Viktor Fyodorov, Head of the Nakhodka Vessel Traffic System.

At the end of the ceremony, guests and employees of the branch laid carnations at the commemorative plaque. The musical accompaniment of the event was provided by the orchestra of the Far Eastern Basin Branch.

Vanyukov Viktor Yuryevich was born on July 11, 1954 in the village of Voikovo, Konstantinovsky district, Amur Region.

Viktor Yuryevich has worked in the maritime transport system for more than 43 years.

After graduating in 1977 from the Far Eastern Maritime Engineer High School named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy with a specialization in sea routes navigation as navigation engineer, he began his career in the Far Eastern Shipping Company, where he raised from the fourth master's mate to the captain of the vessel.

In 1994, he joined Norfes LLP, and in 2004 headed it as General Director of Norfes OJSC.

In 2006, he graduated from the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation with a specialization in economics and enterprise management as director-businessman.

In 2011, he began his work at FSUE “Rosmorport” as Deputy General Director for Navigation Safety of FSUE “Rosmorport”, and in December 2017 he headed the Far Eastern Basin Branch of the enterprise, where he worked for the rest of his life.

Vast experience, talent and outstanding efficiency allowed Viktor Yuryevich to implement a number of important industry projects in the Far Eastern Basin Branch of the enterprise: he organized towage and pilotage service for bulk carriers calling at the new coal terminal of Port Vera LLC, accepted 3 new tugboats and the Moskva icebreaker into the branch fleet, organized environmental monitoring at coal terminals of Primorsky Krai, provided pilotage assistance and operation of tugboats in the seaport of Vladivostok with ultra large container ships, started work on a federal project - the reconstruction of berths in the seaport of Pevek, organized dredging in the seaports of Vladivostok, Nakhodka and Vanino.

Viktor Yuryevich was dedicated to his job, sea and people, he was an active man good at working with a large team.

For his significant contribution to the development of the industry and long service, he was awarded numerous awards, including the "Honored Worker of Russian Transport" badge, the “Honored Worker of Marine Fleet” badge, the Memorial Badge of Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief, the Commendation of the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation.
