Far Eastern Basin Branch organizes release of young chum salmon into Ryazanovka River

On May 20, 2021 in the presence of representatives of the Primorsky Territorial Administration of Rosrybolovstvo the young chum salmon hatched by order of the Eastern Directorate of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch at the specialized fish hatchery was released.

This release was carried out as part of compensation for damage to aquatic biological resources and their habitat caused by the branch during repair dredging operations in 2019 at the operational water areas of berths No. 10, 11, 12 of the Vostochny seaport.

More than 46.1 thousand of young chum salmon with an average weight of up to one gram were released into the Ryazanovka River of the Khasansky District of the Primorsky Territory.

The expenses of the Eastern Directorate of the Far Eastern Basin Branch for the cultivation and release of young chum salmon amounted to almost 231 thousand rubles.

Since the beginning of 2021, this is the second release of young chum salmon, carried out by the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch.

In total, in 2021 the branch plans to release 5 million specimens of young trepang, scallop and kelp, provided that their production is ensured by aquaculture enterprises of the region.
