Seaport of Vladivostok receives two cruise liners

Two cruise liners arrived in the capital of Primorye Territory on April 22, 2019. The seaport of Vladivostok could receive cruise superships with draft of up to 8.5 meters due to repair dredging operations in the water areas of Berth No 1 and Berth No 2 that had been carried out by the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch this year.

In the morning the WESTERDAM cruise liner (the flag of the Netherlands) with 283 meters in length and 8.3 meters in draft has moored at Berth No 2, 2A of the seaport of Vladivostok. A total of 1,839 passengers and crewmembers arrived aboard the vessel.

The ceremony of the first call organized on the initiative of the ship’s captain involved Primorye Territory Governor Oleg Kozhemyako and Vladivostok Mayor Oleg Gumenyuk, the management of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch and FSBI “The Administration of Seaports of Primorye Territory and Eastern Arctic”.

After the warm exchange of greetings chief of the service for the Far Eastern Basin Branch fleet commercial operation Yevgeny Markitantov gave memorial gifts with FSUE “Rosmorport” symbols to the captain of the cruise liner. The captain conducted an excursion on the vessel for honorable guests.

On the same day the Costa NeoRomantica cruise liner (the flag of Italy) with 220.6 meters in length, 7.8 meters in draft and 1,300 passengers aboard has moored at Berth No 1 of the seaport of Vladivostok.

The liner’s mooring has been made by tugs of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch. Pilots of the enterprise have also made pilotage of vessels.

The visit of the WESTERDAM and the Costa NeoRomantica to the seaport of Vladivostok lasted for one day. They left the seaport in the evening of April 22.
