Far Eastern Basin Branch Director included in Maritime Council under the Governor of Primorsky Territory
A maritime council has been created under the Governor of Primorye Territory according to the Primorsky Territory Governor Directive No 31-pg of June 29, 2018 “On the Maritime Council at the Governor of Primorsky Territory”. Regulations of the maritime council and membership of the council and its presidium have been approved by the Directive.
Director of the FSUE “Rosmoport” Far Eastern Basin Branch Viktor Vanyukov was included in the Maritime Council.
The Maritime Council under the Governor of Primorsky Territory is a permanent coordinative and consultative body, which facilitates coordinated actions taken by territorial bodies of federal authorities, executive authorities of the Primorsky Territory, self-government bodies of municipal entities of the Primorsky Territory that are adjacent to the water area, and organizations in the field of maritime activities in the Primorsky Territory.
The Maritime Council is to fulfill the following tasks:
- to maintain interaction between participants in maritime activities in order to implement the Russian Federation’s naval policy in the Primorsky Territory, including its region aspects, that has been determined by the Russian President in the naval doctrine of the Russian Federation;
- to prepare proposals aimed at realizing the geopolitical, transport, industrial, scientific, educational and cultural potential of the Primorsky Territory in the sphere of maritime activities, as well as proposals to increase competitiveness of Russian organizations taking part in the maritime activities;
- to reinforce and strengthen the status of Vladivostok as the naval capital of Russia’s Far East.
